This is one of the earlier versions of this carburetor before they switched over to the one with the rubber double vent tube thing

(see pictures) It's nothing that would affect function and not something you can see when the anode is installed

minor pitting on the mating surface on the outermost edges of the flange where there are holes in the mating gasket to block the water passage (this is normal)
