Walking around the sand dunes of Death Valley National Park gives the opportunity to experience varying conditions with the light and shadows of the surface

A couple of years ago I headed to City Park to capture the morning light in the park

From street level I positioned some of the non-repeating detail into the upper section of the frame and captured this image of the building

Fall in City Park Reflection Walking around the sand dunesWhile photographing the Denver skyline at sunset in the not too far distance I noticed this tree and the color of the leaves. With some time prior to sunset I headed over to the area to photograph the tree. Using a zoom lens I was able to capture the color of the leaves but also the interesting trunk and branches which was one of the elements which drew my interest.
