They were produced in Austria in the early 1950s and the listed price includes the set of 4 chairs. Their design features bent birch plywood legs, arms and back supports, and they have solid contoured nutwood seats and backs. Gropius was a co founder of the Bauhaus school and is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern
