Rainbow E-2 Series Carbon Brush Kit CV1004B Also available as part #174581This replacement carbon brush kit (Part #R8322K) fits the Rexair Rainbow E and E 2 Series motor, the R7816G. The kit includes two brushes with brass holders that press against the commutator to carry current into the motor windings. As carbon brushes wear, they can cause sparking, reduced suction, a burning odor, or a motor that cuts out intermittently, all signs the contact has grown uneven. Running worn brushes too long risks scoring the commutator.
